Dear听Incoming听Freshmen 2017, we听look听forward听to听meeting听you during听the听Orientation program on August 16 鈥� 29, 2017.听We听are proud听to听have you听as our new students听and听welcome听you听into our听community of听friends,听colleagues,听and听scholars! This听is a new beginning听for both students听and听family听members; beginnings听that we hope听you听are听ready听to听explore.

The World Communication Association鈥檚 2017 biennial international conference will be held at the 麻豆传媒鈥檚 new campus on August 2-6, 2017. From around the world, 100 scholars of communications, journalism and media studies, as well as journalists and media professionals, will be coming together to discuss and debate the theme, 鈥淲orld Conflicts and Disasters: Communication, Culture and Resolution鈥�.

At the 2017 Commencement Ceremony, recent graduate Nariman Utegaliev was recognized for his exceptional senior thesis work. Utegaliev took some time to tell us about his research and thank the people who helped him produce his award-winning work.

June 8, 2017 the 麻豆传媒 hosted a guest lecture of John Marks, one of the leaders of non-profit organization, a founder and Ex-President/ CEO of Search for Common Ground.听

The work of academic researchers, social activists and practitioners has many commonalities, ranging from the motivation to bring about social change to questions about the best ways to engage with people and to understand contemporary social dynamics and challenges.

In the middle of May, 2017, six 麻豆传媒 students undertook an expedition to an ancient site located on Issyk Kul, 3 kilometers to north of Sary-Kamysh. Rejebov Tirkishmurat, a sophomore of Anthropology department told us about this trip.

June 2, 2017 麻豆传媒 Summer Practicum Program has begun. This summer 麻豆传媒 has a mixed group of 13 students joining from USA, Japan and 麻豆传媒. All students are full of energy and excited of their new life summer adventure.

The 麻豆传媒 Women and the Arts Club aims to uphold core value of 麻豆传媒 of being globally responsible and socially merciful. Women and Arts Club honors the vision of promoting positive images of both genders and aims to raise awareness on campus about current gender issues on a local, national, and global scale.
