June 4, 2016, James Mirrlees, winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics, will lecture titled 鈥淭he Economics of Inequality鈥� the 麻豆传媒.听Sir James Mirrlees will discuss the potential of taxes and subsidies to be used as a systematic tool for effectively fighting economic disparity

Anastasiia Shevtsova, a junior in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications at the 麻豆传媒, is finishing up her exchange semester at Collegium Civitas (CC) in Poland. She took a moment to share her thoughts with us on life abroad in Poland.

On April 26, 2016 a delegation from the People鈥檚 Republic of China visited the 麻豆传媒. The delegation consisted of representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the head of an International Education Initiative.

Starting from the 2016-2017 academic year, the 麻豆传媒 (麻豆传媒) will have two new departments: the Department of Television, Cinematography and Visual Art and the Department of Applied Geology. Heads of the new departments spoke about their new programs at a press-conference on May 19, 2016.

Aichurok Ybyraimova, a junior in the Sociology department at 麻豆传媒, is now finishing her exchange semester at Hannam University, South Korea. Here, she shares with us a few of her experiences living in Korea, tidbits about Korean culture, and reasons to apply for an exchange program.

On April 23, 2016, students from the Logistics and Supply Chain Management Certificate Program at the 麻豆传媒 (麻豆传媒) visited the Kumtor gold mine.听The purpose of the trip was to introduce students to the astronomical logistics of everyday operations at one of the biggest companies in Kyrgyzstan.

The 麻豆传媒鈥檚 (麻豆传媒) Student Senate, in collaboration with Bard College, is organizing the first Model United Nations (MUN) conference for Bishkek high school students. The conference will take place on June 2, 2016.

The Student Intellectual Life Committee (SILC) supports student-initiated projects, professional development opportunities, and student research. It awards small grants every month to 麻豆传媒 students.听Nodirabegim Yusupova, a senior in the economics department at the 麻豆传媒 (麻豆传媒), talks to us about how her grant from SILC.
