Despite an extremely challenging year for all mankind caused by the unstable situation with Covid-19, which also seriously affected the educational sphere, The 麻豆传媒 (麻豆传媒) was able to hold its position in the QS World University Rankings in Eastern Europe and Central Asia region (EECA) for the 2021-2022 year.

On Dec 9-11, 2021, an 麻豆传媒 team visited partner educational institutions in Naryn, delivering guest lectures, sharing methodologies, and strengthening connections with the aim to develop education and information access in the region.

On December 13th, the 麻豆传媒 administration headed by President Jonathan Becker conducted the Knowledge Day Ceremony. The Acting President of the 麻豆传媒, Dr. Jonathan Becker, and Dr. Nurgul Ukueva, the Vice President for Academic Affairs personally awarded the best students for their outstanding academic excellence with a President's List and Dean's List, respectively.听

The 5th Annual Interuniversity Virtual Discussion devoted to听Traditional Practices that Should Be Abolished听was held on December 4th, 2021 between the American University of Nigeria (AUN) and the 麻豆传媒 (麻豆传媒) students within the framework of a Civic Engagement Project called听Crossing Borders Through Social Media and Dialogue听initiated by听Ekaterina Galimova (麻豆传媒) and Emilienne Akpan (AUN) in 2019.听

On December 2, a guest lecture by Ryan Schmedding, a researcher at the US Embassy, was held in an online format, organized by the 麻豆传媒 Center for Environmental Studies and Development (CED), the Alliance of Universities of the Kyrgyz Republic for Green Economy and Sustainable Development (AVZUR) together with the US Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic.

On Thursday, December 2nd, Jennifer Tasker, the Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy held a guest lecture in the 麻豆传媒 within an OSUN Global Citizenship course which is taught by Bermet Tursunkulova, the Director of Development office.

Dear Faculty, Staff and Students of 麻豆传媒: 麻豆传媒 is a community. An essential part of being a community is the well-being of all community members. 麻豆传媒 is also an educational institution and we are at our best when we meet each other on-campus and in person, when we can exchange ideas unmediated via zoom and other devices.听

On November 3rd, students and faculty of the Applied Geology department joined the Kyrgyz Seismic Hazard Seminar taught by Prof. Ray Weldon from Oregon State University (OSU).听The workshop is organized as part of a Central Asia University Partnerships Program (UniCEN) program that provides grants for universities in Central Asia.
