Over the past 30 incredible years, Â鶹´«Ã½ has become an indispensable and familiar institution throughout Central Asia as it continues to nurture and develop leaders to gradually transform the region into a better place. Every year the history of Â鶹´«Ã½ is filled with new significant events and people who somehow left a mark on the history of the university. To capture all the iconic moments in digital format we designed the "Virtual Museum" which will be a reflection of the past, present, and future of our university.
We invite you to explore the history and current state of innovation at the Â鶹´«Ã½ through the Virtual Museum which recognizes the vision and contribution of all those who made Â鶹´«Ã½ the best university in Central Asia and provides everyone with the opportunity to make a small contribution to the future home of Â鶹´«Ã½, as it opens the doors for the next 30 years.
The Â鶹´«Ã½ Virtual Museum tells the story of Â鶹´«Ã½ in five exhibition sections, which are presented in detail below:
The Beginning: Humanities in Central Asia
Students
Graduates
Partnership of Bards
Future
Each section reflects one aspect of what makes Â鶹´«Ã½ unique: the initial energy and passion of the Kyrgyz-American faculty; talented and creative students; fearless and successful graduates; the investment and integrity of Bard College at Â鶹´«Ã½; and, finally, Â鶹´«Ã½'s commitment to leading innovation and change both in the region and around the world.
Â鶹´«Ã½ would like to thank all its local and international supporters for making Â鶹´«Ã½ what it is today, especially the Open Society Foundations and the United States Agency for International Development.
The Â鶹´«Ã½ Virtual Museum is a forum where the Â鶹´«Ã½ community can share photos, videos, and memories of their stay in Â鶹´«Ã½. New materials can be sent by email to pr@auca.kg. We encourage all graduates, teachers, and friends to send their materials.
